I was having a ham sandwich while walking in the rain the other day in the early morning.

I was noticing how busy people are (I so happened to have been about an hour ahead of schedule).

I noticed that there was an outhouse flying above my head just as I arrived at my destination.

I realized that by taking my time I was more aware of my environment.

Obviously it takes more of your resources to be aware of your environment but I think that it pays off in general.

I believe that people who are more aware of others around them (regardless of familiarity) are more likely to succeed in life. What do you think?
